AME23 Livery Reveal

Promotional video being created for the Texas A&M Formula E Racing Team.
The project was made utilizing a CAD model and being topologized in Autodesk Maya. The model was then textured with Substance Painter, and rendered using Unreal Engine.

LIVERY REVEAL BREAKDOWN
For this project, I was given a CAD model of the race car. I had to optimize the geometry of the main body of the car to be able to place high definition decals on the livery. I was also given a sponsor list so I was able to make alphas of their respective logos to use in Substance Painter. Due to time constraints most of the non-body parts of the car were not optimized and were textured with materials made in Unreal Engine.
The light frames were made using material instances with the intensity set as a parameter to adjust their brightness in sequencer. I simply keyframed their intensity to make the frames turn on and off. The camera angles I chose for the livery reveal were to show the sponsor's logos as much as possible. I also had some of the camera shots at a low angle to give the car a more "empowering" look. The final video was rendered with 64 subsamples to have the clean renders.
